MAKKAH MASJID
Makkah Masjid, is one of the oldest mosques in Hyderabad in
India, And it is one of the largest Mosques in India. Makkah Masjid
is a listed heritage building in the old city of Hyderabad, close to
the historic landmarks of Chowmahalla Palace, Laad Bazaar, and
Charminar. Makkah Masjid was built during the reign of Muhammad Quli
Qutb Shah, the 5th Qutb Shahi Sultan of Makka Masjit. The three
arched facades have been carved from a single piece of granite,
which took five years to quarry. More than 8,000 workers were
employed to build the mosque. Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah personally
laid the foundation stone. The construction was later completed by
Mughal Emperor Biggest mosque in Hyderabad and lies 400 years
south-west of Charminar. The hall is 67 metres by 54 metres and 23

CHOWMAHALLA PALACE

GOLKONDA FORT
Originally a mud fort founded by the Kakatiya Kings of
Warangal during the 13th century, Golconda attained glory under the
Qutub Shahi dynasty (1518 to 1687). This is where the priceless
Kohinoor diamond was found. One of the famous forts of India, an
added attraction here is an enchanting sound & light show in the
evenings. One of the most interesting look of Golconda Fort is its
system of acoustics. The sounds of hands clapped at the entry gate
can be heard clearly at 'Bala Hissar', the highest point, a
kilometre away. The timings of the show are different during summers
and winters. During November–February, the shows begin at 6:30 pm,
and during March-October, the shows begin at 7 pm. On Wednesdays and
Sundays the shows are presented in English; on Tuesdays, Fridays,
and on Saturdays, in Hindi; and on Thursdays, Telugu.
SALARJUNG MUSEUM
Brief History and Evolution of the Museum The Salar Jung
Museum of Hyderabad is a repository of the artistic achievements of
diverse European, Asian and Far Eastern countries of the world. The
major portion of this collection was acquired by The Great Nawab Mir
Yousuf Ali Khan popularly known as Salar Jung III. The zeal for
acquiring art objects continued as a family tradition for three
generations of Salar Jungs. In 1914, Salar Jung III, after having
relinquished the post of Prime Minister to H.E.H., the Nizam VII,
Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, devoted rest of his entire life in
collecting and enriching the treasures of art and literature till he
lived. The precious and rare art objects collected by him for a
period of over forty years, find place in the portals of the Salar
Jung Museum, as rare to very rare pieces of art.After the demise of
Salar Jung-III, the vast collection of precious art objects and his
Library which were housed in "Dewan-Deodi" the palace of
the Salar Jungs,
NIZAM MUSEUM
His Exalted Highness, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan (1911 – [1948] –
1967), ascended the throne on August 11th, 1911, at the age of 25.
His first Firman (Royal Decree) stated: “In every way I will do my
best to do good to my people and my State His first act as sovereign
was to abolish the death penalty which remained suspended from the
penal code throughout his reign. The seventh and last Nizam ruled
the state of Hyderabad and Berar from 1911 to 1948. He was a
studious and serious young man who studied and understood all the
state papers that his father sent him. He disliked frivolity and was
disinclined to outdoor activities that passed for sport in his
day.and Muslims are my two eyes” is remembered even today. Mir Osman
Ali Khan had a natural flair for both administration and finance. He
gained a reputation for being an immensely wealthy man by the
skilful handling of income of his personal estates and the fixed
privy purse. Mir Osman Ali Khan’s city of Hyderabad in honour of a
ruler dearly beloved by his people.

QUTUB SHAHI TOMBS
One of the most important tombs at the Qutub Shahi Tombs is the one
that belongs to the Qutub Shahi dynasty founder, Sultan Quli
Qutub-ul-Mulk. He built his tomb himself and was the longest
overseer of the architectural project. In Seven Tombs He also
decided to build tombs that belonged to the non-ruling members of
the royal families for example the sisters, nephews and nieces. Just
like the Paigah Tombs were built for the entire Paigah nobility, the
Qutub Shahi Tombs were built and dedicated to the seven Qutub Shahi
rulers and their families who ruled Golconda for nearly 170 years.
The Qutub Shahi tombs are centrally located and are only 2
kilometers from the Golconda Fort in the Hyderabad. You can either
board a bus from the closest bus depot to you or get down at
Golconda Fort Bus Stop. You could hire local transport
(auto-rickshaws or private taxis) to reach the Qutub Shahi Tombs.
This historic place is famous for housing the seven tombs belonging
to the seven Qutub Shahi rulers of the place.
ASSEMBLY
The imposing edifice of old Andhra Pradesh Legislative assembly
Building was constructed in the year 1913. Originally it was a ‘Town
Hall’ in the Nizam State. The citizens of Hyderabad raised funds to
build it to mark the 40th Birthday of King Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali
Khan and gave the Building as a Birthday gift to the King.On the
request of Nizam, Specially commissioned architects designed this
white gem of Hyderabad’s architectural splendour after they
specially visited the Rajasthan and inspired by the beautiful palace
architecture of the Pink City. The blend of Rajasthan and Persian
architecture is evident in this Town Hall of the Hyderabad
City.After the first general elections held in the year 1952 in the
Hyderabad State of Independent India, the ‘Town Hall’ was converted
into Hyderabad State Legislative Assembly Building. After the
formation of State of Telangana on 1st November, 1956, the
Hyderabad State Legislative Assembly Building was renamed as
Building of Telangana Legislative Assembly and continued till
3rd August, 1985.
BIRLA MANDIR
Birla Temple, Jaipur At the foot of Moti Dungri fort is the Birla
Temple. This temple forms one of the major attractions of Jaipur.
Birla Temple of Jaipur looks stunning, when it is brightly lit in

HUSSAIN SAGAR LAKE
Hussain Sagar is a lake in Hyderabad, India, built by
Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in 1562, during the rule of Ibrahim Quli
Qutb Shah. It was a lake of 24 square kilometres built on a
tributary of the River Musi to meet the water and irrigation needs
of the city. There is a large monolithic statue of the Gautam Buddha
in the middle of the lake which was erected in 1992.[1] * 7 External
links The Hussain Sagar was constructed on a tributary of the Musi
river by Hussain Shah Wahi during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub
Shah in 1562. It is a sprawling artificial lake that holds water
perenially. Every Sunday cultural programmes are conducted by the
Department of culture in the evenings and admission is free for the
public. One of the icons of the city, Hussain Sagar lake with the
majestic statue of Buddha right in the centre, is a must visit.
LUMBINI PARK
Lumbini Park is a small public, urban park of 7.5 acres
(0.030 km2; 0.0117 sq mi) adjacent to Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad,
India. Since it is geographically located in the center of the city
and is in close proximity to other tourist attractions, such as
Birla Mandir and Necklace Road, it attracts many visitors throughout
the year. Constructed in 1994, the park is presently being
maintained by the Buddha Purnima Project Authority that functions
under the directives of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. In 2007,
it was one of the targets of the 25 August 2007 Hyderabad bombings
that killed 44 people.In 1994, Lumbini Park was constructed at a
cost of INR 2.35 crores on 5 acres (0.020 km2; 0.0078 sq mi) of land
adjacent to Hussain Sagar.With boating facilities, fun rides, laser
shows and more, Lumbini park is a perfect destination to spend a fun
day with your family or close ones.

attraction in NTR Gardens. Developed in an area of about 1,000 sq.
metres and has a wide variety of cacti and succulents, commonly
referred to as desert plants that are used in such as local
medicine, herbal cosmetics, treatment of leprosy and blood diseases
etc.
SNOW WORLD
Snow World is an amusement park, spread over an area of 2 acres in
the city of Hyderabad. The park is an indoor one; located adjacent
to the Indira Park, with the Hussain Sagar Lake flowing besides it.
Snow World was inaugurated on January 28, 2004 by the then Chief
Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu. In the construction of
the park, around two-hundred tonnes of artificial snow was spread on
the floor, prepared specially to prevent melting of the ice. The top
layer of snow is cleaned daily, replaced by another two to three
tonnes of snow that is generated in the facility itself. The
artificial snow is prepared using a patented technology from
Australia, wherein the water is filtered four times before being
utilized, thus protecting against health hazards to children, who
may accidently or deliberately consume it. With a capacity of around
2400 visitors per day, Snow World acclimatizes its visitors to the
cold in a step wise manner, beginning with 20°C, then 0°C, before
finally achieving a sub-zero temperature.
ZOO PARK
Welcome Nehru Zoological Park, and its sylvan setting,
abutting the historic miralam Tank bund, (a 200 year old, World's
first multi arch masonry dam). The Zoo spread in over 380 Acres was
established on 6th October, 1963.
This is the first Zoo in India to have animals arranged in
Zoological order, in open enclosures. Such open enclosures, in near
natural ambience, makes animals feel "at home". This helps in their
